Professional Standards

The development and reporting of appraisals are subject to State & Federal regulations.  State Certified Appraisers are required to have college degrees, thousands of hours of apprenticeship and additional specialized classroom training.  The primary ethical and practice standards are set for in Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP).  The requirements for the MAI and other Appraisal Institute designations are even more stringent.
